What is it?
A vernier caliper is a precision measuring tool that can measure very small distances, inside diameters, and depths to fractions of a millimetre.

Where do I use it?

• Hydraulic Elevator – Measure piston movements and clearances.
• Conveyor Belt – Ensure loads and parts are evenly spaced.

Why is it important?
Tiny differences in size can affect whether machines work correctly. Engineers use calipers to make sure gears, pistons, and parts fit exactly.
